The Wonder of Reading is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to inspire in children the love of reading. Their mission is to have a significant impact on reading in Southern California elementary schools. The Wonder of Reading furthers its purpose through the 3R Program; Renovate, Restock, and Read.
For 28 years BAM’s Dance Africa festival has been a Memorial Day Weekend tradition in Brooklyn, famous for being the longest-running celebration of African and African-American culture in the US. A diverse blend of dance, music, film and art devoted to preserving traditions and educating new generations. Dance Africa’s spirit is personified by founding elder and artistic director Baba Chuck Davis.
STAR Education’s mission is to offer extended educational, recreational, and enrichment programs to students; support and enhance school curriculum; improve student achievement; and expand the cultural base of young people through innovative, quality programs offered by highly qualified instructor.
Nonprofit Boot Camp is designed to educate and empower the next generation of nonprofit leaders and social entrepreneurs, connecting them with valuable industry resources, peers and potential supporters. Craigslist Foundation is a publicly supported operating foundation and not a grant-making institution. They produce free or low cost educational programs and online resources equally accessible to all, regardless of cause or sector, and work with community-minded partners to enable their programs and initiatives.
