Global Education Fund

Global Education Fund (GEF) is a nonprofit working to improve the lives of orphans and vulnerable children around the world through education. In 2008, GEF clebrates ten years of service to children in over 21 countries. By providing books and educational materials, IZZE and GEF are giving needy children the tools of literacy and empowering them to enter the workforce and break the cycle of poverty.

In 2007, our financial contribution resulted in the expansion of GEF's programs into Kenya, Africa, where GEF has implemented the GEF Kenya Leadership Program. The program will provide each participating student with a four-year secondary school scholarship (to cover the often insurmountable fees to attend high school), while also offering students the opportunity to develop leadership skills and confidence through group interactions, service projects and retreats. Approximately 50 orphaned and impoverished youth were selected to participate in the program.

The GEF Kenya programs also include establishing libraries and providing textbooks and teacher training to slum schools that educate children living in extreme poverty. We support this effort by donating hundreds of employee-hours helping with book drives and fundraising efforts. As well as providing additional GEF visibility via packaging and public relations linkages. IZZE hopes to drive awareness of GEF's very important cause via these efforts.

IZZE also partners with GEF for the School Partnership Program. These month-long book drives collect thousands of books in the IZZE book trailer and promote awareness of the educational plight of needy children around the world. To date, more than 100,000 books have been collected in the Denver/Boulder area.

We also continually support non-profit and artistic events through donations of IZZE Sparkling Juice.
