IZZE joins the Modalistas in the fight against malaria at Code: Purple NYC!

August 3, 2012

IZZE was thrilled to join the talented ladies behind ‘Code Purple’ which is a group who’s mission is to provide life saving gear to those battling malaria in Africa. On Monday, July 30th from 6-9pm we hosted the Code: Purple Party inside Limelight Shops to ’sip, shop, and save lives.’ Limelight Shops houses three stories worth of fashion boutiques, niche accessories, bars, and restaurants and is located beneath the soaring ceilings and sweeping stained glass windows of a historic gothic revival church. For a $20 dollar donation which will be used to purchase sweatshirts and shoes for those in need supporters enjoyed custom, African-inspired drinks, shopping discounts, red carpet excitement, and of course delicious IZZE Sparkling Juice. Attendees united to send off members of the Code: Purple team back to Africa to film and continue distributing Moskeeto Armor. We enjoyed an impressive guest list, boasting some of the hottest models, designers, and celebrities including Shannon Elizabeth, Michael Franzese, Hezekiah Walker, Donnie McClurkin, Debbie Jackson, 5001 Flavors, By Barak, DJ Jove, and even Prince and Princess Omilana of Nigeria. When the shopping event ended at 9pm, guests were escorted next door to the new hotspot in town, Chateau Cherbuliez, for a 2 hour after party and specially formulated cocktails.

With magazines like Lucky, TV stations and even radio stations attending the party, it became of one of the biggest altruistic movements to hit the fashion industry. IZZE is proud to join Code Purple in this awesome endeavor. The support of all who attended will be felt by those who receive the life-saving gear that the event raised funds for. We hope you will follow and support Code: Purple as they continue to step forward in the fight against malaria.

UNIQUE SF was a blast!

July 10, 2012

Last week the IZZE LA team headed north to spend the weekend in San Francisco to help support The State of Unique and their first UNIQUE SF event. We are long time supporters of Sonja and her team and were excited to fill the van with delicious IZZE and make the six hour drive up the coast. Jessica from our SF market and Liz from our Boulder team joined us for the weekend to make sure we made a lasting impression on the city. Over 6k folks from the bay area came through and experienced an amazing event. It was great to see a sea of people carrying our colorful cans around. If you missed the SF show, the LA summer show is happening this weekend at the Santa Monica airport and an east coast show in New York City in the Fall. Click here for some info on both. Here are some of my favorite pics from UNIQUE SF!
