IZZE is named after Isabelle, the eldest daughter of Todd Woloson, our co-founder.
TDA Advertising and Design in Boulder, Colorado, created our logo and 12-ounce packaging. Don’t you just love it?
No, we gently pasteurize IZZE in the bottle, a process which acts as a natural preservative.
Real fruit contains fructose (a type of sugar), and carbohydrates, and since IZZE is made with real fruit juice, IZZE contains them, too. There are 87-107 calories in eight ounces of IZZE (depending on the flavor), and 130-160 calories in twelve. Ounce-per-ounce, this is equal to, if not lower than, other juices drinks, natural sodas, and new age beverages on the market. But most importantly, the sugars/carbohydrates in IZZE are naturally occurring, and come from wholesome sources.
Hmm. Let’s just say we think you’ll really like them.

Yes. Every flavor of IZZE is absolutely free of gluten. Enjoy!
There are no established FDA standards for the term “vegan”, nor is there a legal definition for the term. A common definition for a vegan is “a vegan (most commonly pronounced VEE-gun) is a person who does not eat animal products, including meat, fish, seafood, eggs, and dairy.” IZZE, and the natural flavor in the product can be considered vegan.
No, IZZE is not certified Kosher at this time.
IZZE does not sell directly to the public, but we have heard that many of our customers have been able to order IZZE in case quantities from local retailers. If any of the stores in our Find IZZE section are familiar to you, it may be best to approach the store manager of that retailer and ask to order IZZE by the case.
Another option may be to order IZZE through an on-line retailer. Some options include Beverage Direct and www.amazon.com.
IZZE Fortified is a line extension with the same great sparkling juice ingredients as IZZE beverages but enhanced with 30% of the U.S. recommended daily allowance of Vitamins C, 10% B6 and Niacin. Like IZZE, IZZE Fortified is naturally sweet with no refined sugars. It has no caffeine, no preservatives, and no artificial flavors.
No matter which choice consumers make IZZE or IZZE Fortified, the taste is the same. The only difference is that IZZE Fortified is enhanced with vitamins. By adding vitamins, there is no impact to taste, calories, juice content or cost.
Yes, IZZE Fortified Satisfies the Alliance for a Healthier Generation Nutrition Guidelines for students in middle and high schools. Please click here for a copy of our USDA exemption letter. By enhancing IZZE Sparkling Juice with vitamins, we’re making a ‘healthful’ beverage even better. In a world where consumers are looking for additional health and wellness options, this is a benefit.
IZZE Fortified is enhanced with 30% of the U.S. recommended daily allowance of vitamins C, 10% B6 and Niacin. Some of the health benefits of these vitamins include:
Vitamin C, ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble vitamin, which is necessary for the body to function properly. Vitamin C helps promote healthy gums and teeth, and helps the body use other nutrients. Vitamin C is naturally found in citrus fruits and certain vegetables including peppers, potatoes and green leafy vegetables, Vitamin C is one of many antioxidant vitamins. The body does not manufacture vitamin C on its own, nor does it store it. So it is important to get plenty of vitamin C in your daily diet.
Vitamin B6 is a water-soluble vitamin that benefits your body in a number of ways and is essential for good health. It helps the body in proper metabolism as well as playing a key role in maintaining healthy immune and nervous system functions.
Niacin helps support the functions of the nervous system. It also helps with many other essential processes. Niacin is involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates, protein and fat.
IZZE Fortified is 70% pure fruit juice.
IZZE Fortified is available in five delicious flavors: Sparking Pomegranate, Sparkling Grapefruit, Sparkling Clementine, Sparkling Apple and Sparkling Blackberry.
IZZE Fortified is available in four-packs and 12-packs of 8.4 oz cans as well as single serve cans. IZZE Fortified is merchandised with the line of IZZE Sparkling Juices.
There are two reasons IZZE Fortified is only available in cans. First, we wanted to give our consumers an easy way to identify the options of choosing IZZE with or without vitamins. The IZZE signature 12 oz. and 16 oz. glass bottles will not be enhanced with vitamins. Secondly, we are providing IZZE Fortified in the can because it is the primary IZZE package sold in schools and one that moms choose more often for their kids. This way, younger consumers are more likely to receive the additional enrichment found in IZZE Fortified.
IZZE Fortified will be priced in-line with IZZE Sparkling Juices.
IZZE esque is the new line of low calorie sparkling juice beverages from IZZE Beverage Company. All-natural, made with 25% real fruit juice and sparkling water, this light, thirst quenching beverage will delight the senses and provide the flavorful refreshment one can expect from IZZE.
IZZE esque has less than half the calories of most IZZE® Sparkling Juices with only 50 calories per 12 oz. serving. According to the FDA, a “low calorie,” a product must contain 40 calories or fewer per 8 oz. serving, so IZZE esque falls under this definition.
IZZE esque is available in three simple fruit flavors: Sparkling Mandarin, Sparkling Black Raspberry, and Sparkling Limon. Sparkling Black Raspberry has bursts of plump black raspberry flavor. Sparkling Mandarin has an exotic orangey twist and Sparkling Limon couples the zest of lemon and lime.
IZZE esque is available in 12 oz. glass single bottles and four-packs. It is line priced with IZZE Sparkling Juices in 12 oz. glass single bottles and four-packs.
Consumer feedback was the inspiration for IZZE esque. Our consumers continued to request a lower calorie, all-natural IZZE option that was also great tasting, so we listened. Consumers also helped us name IZZE esque. When they drank samples, they claimed it was like IZZE, but lighter. It wasn’t IZZE, but it was IZZE esque.
IZZE esque is available now at Whole Foods Market and more broadly where IZZE is sold. If you don’t see it on the shelf, ask your store manager for it.
IZZE esque is displayed adjacent to IZZE Sparkling Juices.
IZZE esque is sweetened with 25% real fruit juices. No other sweeteners are added.
“Esque” means in the style or manner of; resembling. For example, IZZE esque is in the style or manner of/resembling IZZE Sparkling Juice, but it isn’t exactly like IZZE Sparkling Juice.
Yes they did, thanks for noticing! In early 2010 we reformulated IZZE esque, increasing the juice content from 5% to 25%. By removing some of the original contents and replacing them with more juice content, we were able to lower the calories and the sugar content in esque, all while maintaining great taste. We felt the newly reformulated esque deserved a package make-over to help represent the changes.
IZZE Sparkling Ginger & Birch are sweetened with sucrose, commonly known as table sugar, which is a natural sweetener. There are 29g of Sugar in Ginger & Birch, which is right about the average of our IZZE Sparkling Juice beverages.
