IZZE Hangs at The Sweet Pea Organics Launch Party

Last week, we were lucky enough to hang with our good friend Grace Glennanthony for the launch of her new company “Sweet Pea Organics“. Sweet Pea makes delicious organic baby food, toddler protein bars and teething biscuits. We set up the IZZE sampling bar at the COOP in Studio City and offered IZZE Fortified with straws and the new IZZE esque to all the guests in attendance. Everyone loved us and several new moms personally thanked us for helping them get thru their pregnancy. Here are some pics from the event.
IZZE joins NYC’s Bravest at the 19th Annual FDNY Volleyball Tournament

IZZE NYC was honored to join the Fire Department of NY at their 19th Annual Volleyball Tournament in honor of Lieutenant Williams in Long Beach this week. Lt. Williams died in the line of duty and the tournament helps to raise money for safety ropes that are crucial to keeping our firefighters safe when working in the harsh conditions of the city. Over 1000 firemen competed on 20 teams throughout the day, and thousands more came to watch and support the festivities. The FDNY raised over $30,000 and the event continues to be their greatest fund-raising effort of the year. IZZE is proud to support this event and we were thrilled that so many of the Bravest were refreshed by our delicious juices. Join IZZE on Sunday June 13th as we sponsor “Explore-a-thon 2010′, an exciting event held to benefit the Campaign for the Westchester Children’s Museum. The Westchester Children’s Museum will be the first and only museum dedicated to children in the county and beyond. This state-of-the-art museum will provide a safe and fun learning environment for all children for generations to come. The landmarked Bathhouses at Rye Playland Boardwalk are the future home of the museum. To date, Westchester County has appropriated $8.8 million to renovate the 1920’s Art Deco buildings and ready them for their new purpose. Restoration of the building began fall of 2009. In order to build a state-of-the-art children’s museum, their goal is to raise in excess of $7 million and they are currently more than halfway there! The ‘Explore-athon’ event is an interactive and magical day of play, experimentation, and discovery for children and families. You and your family will discover and enjoy “Exploration Stations” modeled after future museum exhibits. All activities are designed to nurture curiosity, enhance knowledge and excite imagination. The event goes from 9am-12pm, and will be held at the Rye Playland Boardwalk. There is a suggested donation of $75 per family in advance. All proceeds benefit the development of the Westchester Children’s Museum. Each family will receive one t-shirt, refreshments, entertainment, and exciting give-a-ways.

LA IMPROV COMEDY FEST HERE WE COME!

This week kicks off I.O. West’s big 8th Annual Los Angeles Improv Comedy Festival. Workshops — sample title:” Get Out of Your Head and Into the Scene” — will be led by some of the best in the biz, including Halpern, Modern Family’s Eric Stonestreet, Dave Hill, Michael McCarthy, Bridget Kloss. Performers include Neil Flynn (The Middle), Danny Pudi (Community), Angela Kinsey (The Office), the aforementioned Mr. Stonestreet, Matthew Lillard (Scooby-Doo), Adam McKay (many funny movies), Ian Roberts (Reno 911) and Deborah Ann Woll (True Blood), who will also present the Chris Farley Award to EJ Scott. Teams are coming from all over the country to show off their improv and sketch skills, so expect the best of the best.

IZZE NYC teams up with PepsiCo and Starwood Hotels to help beautify the city!

IZZE NYC joined their colleagues at PepsiCo and Starwood Hotels for an amazing event for the New York Restoration Project on May 27th in Harlem. New York Restoration Project (NYRP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to reclaiming and restoring New York City parks, community gardens and open space. In partnership with the City of New York, NYRP is also leading MillionTreesNYC – an initiative to plant and care for one million new trees throughout New York City’s five boroughs by 2017. Teams worked to clean up 5 spaces that will be utilized by the community for recreation and education.
